Sushi Oyama - As Good as Sushi Garden

Sushi Oyama, which is quite close to Sushi Garden, is another great place for sushi. It's usually where I go if I see a long line-up at Sushi Garden. The restaurant is in a standalone house, which is interesting. The food there is great too. I usually order Alaska roll, since it is comparable with the one at Sushi Garden.

Tired of receiving different groupons emails? Try Cakedeals

Have you every found yourself registering to different groupon websites like groupon.com, livingsocial, dealfind, wagjag, and many other sites? Now you should just subscribe to only one: cakedeals.com. This website keeps track of all the groupon websites in town and you only receive one email every morning. If you like the deal, just click on the link, then you will be redirected to the groupon site.

Don't know what groupon is? It is the latest deal trend where you receive daily deals from different stores and services, such as beauty, restaurants, yoga classes etc. From all the groupons that I have seen, they are at least 50% off the regular price.

I'm not part of cakedeals. I just think that it is convenient for people to organize their daily groupon deals in one single email.

Nao Sushi - A Japanese-Owned Sushi Place

I finally found a not-so-expensive Japanese-owned sushi restaurant in Burnaby!!! It's called Nao Sushi. It is located right across from Highgate Village and it's a bit more expensive the Sushi Garden. They have good sushi and a variety of choices. There are lots of Original Special Roll such as Atlantic Roll and Rock'n Roll (Back to the 70's lol).

Take a look at the menu:

Ethiopian Food! (Fassil)

I visited Fassil about a week ago and I had a good experience there.

The food there was unique. The gray bread is sour. You use it as a "spoon" to scoop the food. I ordered the Yebeg Tibs, Yberie Tibs and Doro Tibs. They are pretty good. You can choose between spicy and non spicy.

I didn't know what I should do at first. My friends and I went in, we sat down and the owner came out and greeted us.

He told us to order the "Tibs" for ourselves. But at the same time you should consult other people on the same table because you are sharing the bread and the "side dishes."

So when the food was served, we put all the "tibs" into the "sharing dish" and we use the bread to "scoop" the meat with the sauce. It tastes yummy but I had too much bread in the end and I gave up in the end-- I used spoon to finish my meat! =)
