I just got a sweet deal from A&W. Thanks to redflagdeals.com.
They were giving out free Uncle Burger coupons for the first 2000 people who signed up for that. But I missed it so I have to download the coupon so I can get an Uncle Burger for $3...
It's actually not bad, consider a regular teen burger costs you around $4...
Here's the link! http://www.uncleburger.ca/coupon/
I tried it a similar product, Angus Burger, at McDonald's and it tastes like a Big Mac. I'm guessing it's around the same. (ie. taste like a papa burger) so paying $3 is about right. I wouldn't want to pay $6 for that...

Nood
I just passed by a store today at Metrotown. It's called "Nood." (New Objects of Desire) It looks like it's a furniture store, but when I walked in, there are a lot of cool stuff that caught my eyes.
For example,
Matchsticks erasers
mini bowling set
nice wooden storage boxes
and a lot more.
I forgot to bring my camera so I cannot take any pictures of it...
The prices are relatively expensive than the other stores but they are really cool! You can just walk in to the store and take a look. It doesn't cost you any money at all!
If you have time you should check out the store. It's at Metrotown right across from Staples, the old A&B Sound location.
There are two other locations in Vancouver area too.
151 Water Street, Vancouver (I believe it's Downtown near Gastown)
801 Marine Drive, North Vancouver
There's one in Victoria:
546 Yates Street, Vicotria

Honour Roll at UBC
Well I'm thinking everyone who studies at UBC has been to Honour Roll at the SUB basement. But do you know that they have more types of sushi than you think? You don't have to pick the sushi boxes that you see in the fridge; you can actually order some other types of sushi too!
I just tried beef teriyaki because I'm sick of chicken teriyaki... Too much!
Next time you visit Honour Roll, take a look at the menu and you might find something that you want. Just ask one of the staff about it then you can try something new!

View a Website and Get $20!
I just saw this at UBC.
Send an email to jalen@geoadvice.com if you want participate in viewing a website (www.quenchmark.com). They'll pay you $15 by mailing check. If you refer someone and that person completes the survey, you will get $5 more! Which is a total of $20!
It's not bad but the questionnaire is quite long (8 pages) even though the ad says it's only 15 minutes long and it has a lot of procedures that you have to do. I think it's doable if you have at least an hour to spare.
The ad also says they only want 50 viewers so you should fire her an email asap!

Freebies at UBC!
I just got a free note pad today at UBC. It's from unote.ca, which is a company which "is driven by the diverse needs of the students."
There are good coupons in the note pad, such as:
Pearl Fever - 50% off a drink if you purchase a $10 gift card.
$35 off Gold's Gym @ UBC
However personally I wont use the note pad because it's full of advertisements... Only the last 3 sheets are ad-free...
If you want to know more, you can visit their website

Dining a la UBC Card
I found the UBC a-la-card a really useful thing to use because it gives you 5% off your food! (so basically you don't have to pay tax, just pay whatever price it is on the menu)
I think this is a good deal for me because I can get discount off things that I don't usually get discounts such as Tim Hortons and Starbucks.
The best thing is A&W at the SUB. They actually give you an extra 5%, so you don't have to pay tax and you actually get 5% off your food too! This is the best place to use the UBC Card.
Simply go to UBC Food Service to sign up.
You can use your UBC card at the following places:
99 Chairs
Arts 200
Barn
Caffe Perugia
Edibles
Ike's Cafe
IRC Snack Bar
LTK Cafe
Pond Cafe
Reboot Cafe
Sage
Starbucks (Kaiser and SUB)
Steamies (UBC Bookstore)
Tim Hortons (99 Chairs and Forest Science Centre)
Pizza Pizza (99 Chairs and SUB)
A&W
KOYA Japan
Manchu Wok
Subway
Place Vanier Cafeteria
Hubbards
Trek Express Deli Bar (99 Chairs)
Totem Park Cafeteria
Magdas
BUT there are places where you can't use the card:
Pie R Square (at SUB)
Bernoulli’s Bagels (at SUB)
Blue Chip Cookies (at SUB)
All the food services at the SUB basement
Starbucks at Tech (6190 Agronomy Rd)
The village (of course!)
